You know, I'm a real sucker for a great backyard! - I love backyards more than interiors. The saddest time for me is when I can't go outside anymore because of the weather. I need a covered patio at least so I can sit outside and enjoy the rain. It seems like a really long time since it last rained here. I know about the drought and all that and I'm pretty sure I did a fair amount of complaining in earlier posts about the rain, but I'm ready now - it can rain. - This house has an awesome backyard - I mean the house isn't anything to complain about for sure - but look at the yard!!!! ( wow just read that back - way too much coffee today)

Can you say "Inventory Shortage"? It's getting quite dire out there - 727 Residential listings on Todays MLS, 276 in Redding - Average sales price for Sept 2012 was $200,633 - up from last years average of $176,876 for the same time. But, it's deeper than that. Homes priced on the low $100K range are few and far between right now - competition is fierce for those. - 11 offers on a house I looked at today which came on the market 8 days ago.( And it was priced at $185K!) Too late. Homes priced about 300K are in demand but there are limited options available. Interest rates are crazy wicked low right now too, 3.4% or ish there. - that means a 200K home that had an interest rate of 5% was costing $1073.65 per month and now at 3.4% it costs $886.96 per month (excluding taxes and insurance - blah blah disclaimer) Now you can afford more home for less money.
